Amber and Josh got married on Aug. 1, 2009 in the beautiful Saint Raphael Church in San Rafael. Debrah was the special Maid of Honor for Amber. She is Amber’s auntie who held her dearly when she was born. Debrah was very emotional when she did the toast to the new couple. What a blessing for Amber to be in the good hands of a trust-worthy man now.

I shot Heinrich and Sheryll’s wedding pictures four years back. They moved to Chicago since then. Now they are refering Sheryll’s younger sister to me to extend the Hall of Brides in my studio. Their ceremony was in the wonderful St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Milpitas. The reception was in Biltmore Hotel, Santa Clara. I was so happy to see Heinrich and Sheryll again in the event, and their new family member, 4-month-old son, Ryllie is amazing. Ryllie had an important mission in the event, driving his wagan to deliver his aunt and uncle’s marriage rings, and he made it, so cute! Sherlyn was such a sweet bride who kept smiling at my camera giving me many great pictures. In toast, Sheryll declared proudly to her dear young sister: ‘You are now becoming a true woman’. Our groom Mark matches Sherlyn with his youth and coolness. Responding to Sheryll’s declaration, do you think he has other choices than “I am becoming a true man.”?!

I’m always concerned that my daughter spends too much time on computer: chat, email, games … You know what I’m talking about if your home has a teen. June 21, 2009 gave me a privilege to demand my daughter and my wife to go out. Because it is Father’s Day, yeh! My wife picked Fish Hopper in Monetary for our lunch. The seafood was awesome! Then we went to Carmel to take a walk and see a few photography galleries. At 5pm, shops there were closing. I checked the GPS to see where was the close-by beach to go. I was pointed to Point Lobos. There we go and I was surely not disappointed with the following photos captured. I was particularly happy with the last photograph creation. I promised my daughter to leave by 8pm as I didn’t see there would be any good sunset pictures due to the thick cloud hanging there constantly. I started to pack and was about to close the trunk. Then I saw some red was turning between the thick cloud and the ocean. I immediately unpacked my equipment and rushed into the bush field just about 50 feet away and below the parking lot. With the famous cypress tree on the cliff framed in my viewfinder, I bracketed four shots every a few minutes. Finally I got the one displayed here. It was 8:20 already. “Dad, you owe me 30 minutes game permission”, claimed my daughter in the car.

On June 6th, 2009, Allen and Helen got married in Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley near Palo Alto. It was a sunny day and amazingly the temperature was very cooperative. Helen’s wedding gown really impressed me with a good blending of both classic and contemporary styles. Family members and friends mostly from their church, River of Life Christian Church came to witness their vows and to share their joy. After the ceremony, we went to Stanford University campus and got some stunning pictures. In the evening, we went to Ming’s Restaurant for the wedding reception. The games were so fun!

When planning for her engagement photos, Pauline had two places in mind: Japanese Friendship Garden and Il ilfornaio, both in San Jose. From the Internet, Pauline learned that Japanese Friendship Garden is one of the best places to take engagement photos in San Jose. As for Il ilfornaio, the reason is so simple: that is where Pauline and Ray 1st date took place. Ray recalled that their 1st date was magical. They kept talking for more than an hour before they ordered their food. Ever since then, they looked forward to seeing each other right after each date. When traveled to Beijing, China last August, Ray presented the ring his great-grandfather once gave to his great-grandmother and said, “Ni neng jia gei wo ma?” (That’s Chinese for, “Will you marry me?”)

It was cloudy in Shoreline Park, Mountain View this afternoon. Allen and Helen were so anxious to show up for their engagement photo session with me. We had so much fun in the beautiful Rengstorff Garden, and on the park’s green turf by the lake. Allen’s hand was never apart from Helen’s. They are in love, it’s so obvious that even the goose family has also noticed,

Kjeld finally found a good reason to get his two children to come with him for a family portrait. What’s the occasion? It’s his birthday celebration! Having moved to Bay Area to pursue Electrical Engineering career since 1970’s, Kjeld has witnessed the valley’s rise to the center of world high technology, and the transformation from Silicon Valley to Internet Valley. Along the way are his two dear children’s growth. Michael is now taller than dad, and Charlette a charming lady. What a good looking family!

Eunhee is the boss. She started her company 10 years ago. Now EK Health Services has grown into a 300-people company, a success that Eunhee is so proud of, and her bright smile shows. Behind her is a strong management team: confident, professional, attentative, friendly. These qualities are exactly portraited in the following corporate images.

Angel once was a racing horse. She got injured and could not get fully recovered and no longer could run fast enough to her owner’s expectation. She was then sold to a slaughter line. Caly came and rescued Angel and has become her loving new owner. To reward Caly’s compassion, Angel later gave birth to a high quality racing horse, what a surprise to Caly! The white mark on Angel’s forehead is a token she communicates with Caly every day.

Espie came to US from Philippines to join Patrick to get married. Her beautiful eyes tell you how excited, anxious, curious she was. Being a professional project manager, Patrick embarked the wedding project with exceptional planning and organizational skills. It is unusal for a groom to play such a role for every detail of the wedding, but this man made it. When Espie arrived in US, Patrick was ready and his bride was amazed. Sep. 22, 2007, was a sunny day. Patrick and Espie happily got married in San Francisco.
